Where Education and Inspiration Meet
Stephanie Guasch is a classically trained singer and educator with over 10 years of experience in
formal singing. She earned her MM at the Mannes School of Music (New York City, NY) and a
Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico (San
Germán, P.R.). During her time at Mannes she studied with Ruth Falcon, and participated in
multiple master classes, opera workshops, outreach programs, recitals, as well as performing
with the chorus of the Mannes Opera production of Eugene Onegin.
Back in her native Puerto Rico, she was a member of the San Juan Philharmonic Chorale.
Notable performances include renown Pablo Casals Music Festival. She was also a member of
Coralia, the concert choir of the University of Puerto Rico (San Juan, P.R.), led by the
distinguised Carmen Acevedo Lucío. Currently, she is a freelance vocalist around the greater
Seattle area; performing genres such as classical music, bossa nova, jazz, latin jazz and as a back
up singer for salsa ensembles.
Stephanie’s classroom teaching experience ranges from kindergarten to 5 th grade. She follows
vocal methods that are focused on healthy vocal production, and are tailored to fit each
individual strength and needs. As a piano teacher her philosophy is to foster the fundamentals of
music to acquire skills that will be transportable to any instrument the student wishes to pursue.
As a fully bilingual teacher –English and Spanish—she is well equipped to work with students of
diverse backgrounds. Her passion is sharing her knowledge and love of music with students of
all skills and levels. She loves working with children and implementing strategies that make her classes fun and motivating.
